How many are members of one or the other?

I've noticed that RMGO hasn't updated their website in a while and CSSA seems to be very, very quiet.

Also, anybody ever give out the RMGO "No gun, no money" cards? I walked out of the movie theater at the Westy Promenade the other day because of their sign (because they REALLY CARE about the $40/trip, 1-2x/month) but I was wondering about the next step.

I get e-mails from the RMGO about once a week.

I looked at the CSSA, but was not impressed.

YMMV

I belong to both, life member of CSSA.

Both seem quiet to me, I think CSSA lost some important volunteers. I wonder if RMGO did too.

I know I am dispirited since Colorado is being Californicated, maybe they are too.

Luckily it looks like the statehouse Dems are laying low after changing the CCW rules.

Also belong to both, and volunteer for CSSA at the gun shows.  They are having some issues for sure, my guess is leadership burn out.  Hopefully some people will take up the slack.

I'm a RMGO member, and now that you mention it they have been kind of quite lately.  I haven't been getting alot from Gun Owners of America either.  I know there is probably legislation and such out there that we need to be fighting or at least getting ready to fight against

The two had something of a fued some time back. It is correct to say that CSSA had a leadership change and have not recovered yet. RMGO is pretty much a one man shop now days, and has suffered from a lack of donations and manpower.

CSSA tends to be more of a shooting organization, while RMGO focuses more on the political action side. Both could use your support, as both try to be advocates for all Colorado Shooters.

I was wondering about that. I'm a member of both, but it seemed like they were both drained after the last legislative session.

Ever have one of those days when you wished you were hit by a train, just so that the suckiness of your day would at least make a good story? That's how I felt about the session when the final gavel came down in May, and I just wrote a bunch of letters and faxes. I can't blame anyone who put in as much hard work as they did for taking time off.

+1
I felt very disheartened last election. All the canidates I gave money to lost, (except Tancredo.)
I can understand why the leadership feels the same.

They're laying low because they know that their positions on guns, if plainly stated, will throw voters back toward the Republicans, and they are playing for the big score right now:  White House + control of Senate + control of House.  If they lay their plans for gun control out now, those races (and gun control) are threatened.
