I am looking at a job in Colorado. What is the gun law situation? Any bans restrictions Etc Thanks |

The actual city of Denver in not too friendly on assult style weapons. Boulder allows them but they are not gun friendly in general and have a strange law on the books that recently passed that states that if you carry a firearm in a case, it must be recognized as a gun case or you are required to write "Gun" on the outside. Make's no sense at all but this is Boulder and they are all freaks of nature and tree huggers. As for Colorado in general, good state. It is a shall issue state for CCW. NFA items are allowed. I think you are approaching this in the correct manner. Before I would ever relocate to a new state, I would want to understand the laws and if it is gun friendly state. Colorado is. Many other states will never get my money based on their anti-gun stance. For example, California is a state I moved from back in 1980 and at that time it was impossible to live with the rules then. Now, forget it.... Good luck on your decision. |
I think CO got a 90% out of 100% (1-100, 1 being the least amount of firearms freedom, 100 being the most freedom) in The Travelers Guide to the Firearms Laws of the 50 States, Illinois got a 30% (even CA got a 40%)![]() *No permit for handguns, no waiting period, no limit, open carry okay *shall issue CCW *Rifle and shotgun ownership unrestricted *NFA no state restrictions *No AWB *lots of land to shoot on *Pro-gun (R) senator, Fairly pro-gun (D) senator *Alot of libtards I know shoot (wow) All in all a very gun friendly place... 1 of my major reasons for moving here in the 1st place! Which county are you considering? Best of luck --VT |
