Memorial day shoot at Dragon Man's 05/25/03 Sunday from 9:30AM to 3:30PM. Be there if you like FA toys. I'll be there with my UZI. Come intro yourself if you're there. I'll be wearing an ARFCOM T-shirt and have an UZI (most likely the only UZI there). Karl.

Nope, there'll be at least two other Uzi's there that I know of.

I'll be there, doing rentals on some fun guns.

Should be a good time.

Sounds good, there were only two there last memorial day. Mine and a group next to me. Karl.

Cool,
my new DSA STG will be there.
I only have 80 rounds 7.62
Anyone have about 100 rounds surplus .308 they would be willing to unload?
Thanks

Sylvan, get on the phone now and ask Dragon Man's if they have any.  Most likely they do.  Check the price.  (719) 683-2200  Karl.

Dragonman's always has plenty of ammo, but they charge quite a bit for the convenience.  On the order of $.30 a round for .308, I believe - maybe as low as $.25.

When they're doing rentals/firepower demo, the general range is usually not open for you to bring your own weapons and shoot - just rent what's there.

Sometimes the pistol side of the range (25yd berm) is open, though.

Yeah but he can shoot with me at my position, there's room for two shooters at each position usually.  Karl.

Hope you guys have fun! I'll be stuck working Sunday and Monday. But I'm sure you'll think about me....

Well, at least me and Sylvan were able to meet face to face for a little while.  Unfortunately, coming from Texas, he was unaware of just how quick it could get cold and he wore shorts.  He stayed as long as he could tolerate it and shot a few rounds.  Maybe by the Veterans Day shoot he will have climatized and acquired appropriate "Colorado clothing".  I like the rifle he had.  Shot nice.  Hey Circuits, were you there?  I was down on the far end right next to the 37mm anti tank gun.  Karl.

Oh, forgot to mention, I took a few pics, but I have nowhere to host them so go look at a few of them here;

Also go see Alan's website that is linked to in that thread.  He will be posting some video.  Karl.

I was right in the middle, Karl - on my left was Kurt Hansen with his M60 and rack of various stuff (by no means his whole collection), then me with my MAC10, MP5, M16's and AK's racked against a spool and the browning 1919 on one spool, with the FAL on the bipod on the other, then to my right was another friend with his M37, XMG99 MG34 upper, an Armalite AR-50 and some M16's.

I didn't make it down to the far end there much except once to get some more ammo from my car.

Drizzled/rained until 11:30, then got a bit nicer, even sunny and warm for a short bit.

I shot my suppressed M16 (would only do 2rd bursts... :( ), suppressed MP5, and suppressed FAL for the noon suppresor demo.  During the firepower demo/mad minute, I figure I got 3 or 4 of the leftmost tannerites, including the one in the left-hand car's window with my 1919.  Ah, the joys of tripod shooting and a T&E!!! :)

After I finished the belt on the 1919, I popped off about 8 full mags through the Oly M16/9 as fast as they'd go.

OK, I saw a couple of guys shoot suppressed weapons at noon in the center area there.  I shot my UZI and my TEC22T with a can on them, but I shot from my position.  Hopefully we can meet some time this summer around here somewhere.  Karl.

Anyone else hear any more on a shoot for the 4th.?  I heard they decided to do one, but haven't been able to confirm.  Karl.

I spoke to Mel (Dragon Man) yesterday.  There is no shoot on the 4th.  Next shoot is Veterans Day.  Karl.
