Which Seattle-based Democrat Prosecutor is going to go after her?

If the system worked as it should, yes, it would be a victory.

Time to turn our attention to the election. Who's your local legislative candidates, and which one is most likely to support gun rights?

With Andy Hill's passing, and replacement by Dhingra, the balance of power has shifted toward the aniti gun side.

It would be a shame to beat this initiative, only to lose the legislature and see all these restrictions passed in January.  As long as you're voting, pay attention to the legislative race. It's well past time we achieve a solid majority.

Just in from NRA. Lots of opportunities to get out and do something

Come join us at five NRA events happening this week in Northwest Washington. Connect with your NRA and do your part in opposing Initiative 1639.

If you plan on visiting the Washington Arms Collectors show in Monroe this Saturday or Sunday, visit us at the NRA booth. Stock up on free NRA stickers, learn more about I-1639, and get engaged with our VOTE NO campaign. If you're extra committed, help us staff the NRA booth, and help us bring awareness of this initiative to other voters!

When: Saturday, Sept. 22 and Sunday, Sept. 23 -- Sat 9-5, Sun 9-3
Where: Evergreen State Fair Grounds, 14405 179th Ave SE, Monroe, WA 98272

Join me, your NRA campaign field representative, in knocking doors this Saturday in Lynden! We'll be having face-to-face conversations with Whatcom County voters to discuss I-1639, and get our pro-Second Amendment message out to voters. We'll be meeting up in the Custer Sportsmans club parking lot at 10:00 a.m.

What: Lynden Door Knocking
When: Saturday, September 22, 10am
Where: Custer Sportsmen's Club, 3000 Birch Bay Lynden Rd, Custer, WA 98240

On Wednesday, we'll be calling our neighbors and supporters to inform them about I-1639, and rally their support to VOTE NO. Join us for two phone banks, in Bellevue and in Custer, Wednesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The NRA will supply snacks, phones, and soda - just bring your voice and your dedication to defeat I-1639.

Yesterday there was a steady stream of folks checking in at the Monroe table. We are signing up people to make phone calls and go door-to-door. If you've never done any of this, it's easy. Just install the app (i360 call) on your phone and it will step you through the process. It uses wi fi so you don't need to use your phone minutes, and your number does not appear as a caller ID.

Contact me for login credentials, and I'll hook you up with the NRA rep.

Lots of people complain the NRA isn't doing enough, and they hold a grudge over I-594. Guess what? That's history. To beat 1693 and flip the legislature we need votes. Thousands of votes. That means getting out there every day and working this issue. Ask yourself if, come next year, you want to say you bitched about it, sat back and waited for the cavalry, or actually did something.

At the members meeting of the North Whidbey Sportsman's Association (Gun Club) on Sept 12 someone passed out No On I-1639 yard signs and bumper stickers.
They were gone before the meeting was called to order.
The membership voted to oppose I-1639 at a previous meeting.

Outstanding.

Every one of those members needs to discuss it with their families and friends and coworkers.

We need a groundswell of support to oppose it to combat the useful idiots in Seattle.

Going door to door is a little intimidating. Not sure I will be good at it but oh well. I want in. I need to stop complaining and get to work and do something.

To what TNC is saying, the NRA is doing every thing they can to help but we have to step up and help them out. Each of us have to carry part of the load.

If you are not interested in the phone bank or door to door options, here are other ideas.

Printing out flyers to post in your neighborhood
Print your own yard sign
Being a point of contact between your local gunshop and TNC who can get you materials. Your job would be to make sure they are always stoked. TNC and the NRA can't keep track of everyone alone.
Volunteer at the next gun show
Make ten social media posts between now and the election.

Yes it was! Very good turn out. And Ben Carpenter talked about some practical steps we can help defeat this initiative. What could be more fun wasting Bloomberg's money? And it helps direct all the frustration we have when this stuff comes up.

Phone banking, door-to-door, and delivering flyers and bumper stickers to gun shops. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Why would anyone in their right mind vote Democrat?  They're voting heavily along party lines for socialist items, and surely if they get a strong majority will continue down a party line.  We need to send a message against the left in all that we vote this election cycle.

right mind is the key. Maybe we should require people to waive their HIPAA rights in order to vote, and recertify them for eligibility to vote and express their opinion, on a yearly or more frequent basis.

I finally got a few signs.  So far I've only seen three in all of the Silverdale - Poulsbo area, and they're the ones I have put up.

The one I put out on Ridgetop here in Silverdale was knocked over sometime between 0845 and 1045.  I stuck it back in the ground.  Nobody has done anything to the two on my property.

This is the type of crap that pisses me off. Published in our local fish wrapper (Key Peninsula News) - not available online so I "scanned" it

Did you know:

- I-1639 only does four common sense things - no mention of the requirement for state sanctioned training, no mention of licensing requirements, no mention of having to renew and maintain eligibility for said license or the state may elect to seize your lawfuly owned "assault rifles", no mention of banning posession/use by those under 21 while on others' property (possibly including a rifle range), no mention of LEO signoff requirements - the last one being especially troublesome as some LEOs have been known for years to not sign off on Form 1 NFA items - e.g. Pierce Co. Sheriff Pastor downright refuses
- I-594 resulted in tens of thousands of private sale background checks - implying that criminals that were going to buy/sell black market firearms somehow weren't able to do so despite the new law
- She knows a gun owner who already does these common sense things - which is odd considering I don't know anyone who purposefully put themselves through a training course before buying even a Marlin 60, or obtained a license to own such a firearm - and therefore anyone who disagrees with the gun owner she knows must be the unreasonable minority
- Of course she's a "mother and activist"

So much that they don't enforce it. I believe there have been 2 prosecutions under 594.

I find it hard to believe that there are zero felons in possession of firearms in this state, but here we are. I guess 594 is 99.9999% effective at denying firearms to felons.

I doubt it.  The felon that murdered my father had an AK and AR and 145 rounds of ammo in his trunk (for those counting that is 147 crimes, then add in DUI driving, reckless driving, vehicular homicide).  The prosecuting attorney did not want to go after the firearms, and only did when they added a few years to the vehicular homicide.

SHB 1501 requires that FFLs report denied transactions to the WASPC.  WASPC has come out against I-1639, so there is that at least.

But part of SHB 1501 requires the WASPC to publish an annual report, and they are also producing a monthly report that shows denied transactions.  I merged that data with FBI NICS Data to create the following:

Attachment Attached File

Since inception, 0.51% of all checks result in a non-overturned denial.  Of those 0.51% of denied checks, 21.3% are referred to local LE for further action.  Of those referrals that acted upon by local LE?  Unknown.

Durkan prosecuted felons with guns and suppressed gun crime dramatically. Then she stopped. I can only speculate she was directed to stop. That was quite a few years ago.

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here but liberals generally view firearms possession charges the same way they view drug posession/dealing charges. That is to say they believe these charges are leveraged in an abusive and unfair way against minorities.

Nevermind the fact that the individual is typically already a felon and the guns are typically stolen, meaning that the individual is already likely well entrenched in a life of crime. The minority status is the only thing that matters.

You will have liberals saying that they don't want felons in possession of guns. You will never get them to admit who the primary violators of that law are. You will never get them to admit that those individuals do not care about the law and will continue doing what they're doing, and that the ONLY thing that will stop them is severe penalties and jail time.

Satterberg is a shining example of this. Regularly drops firearms charges.

I've come to realize that this is part of a larger culture war. Liberals may pander to minorities, but not out of any true concern. Their true agenda is to destroy those they hate and fear, and guns are just one of the levers they can use.

They are sacrificing the entire population of Chicago to maintain stats used to support their agenda. It's sickening and disgusting. The typical liberal foot soldier doesn't understand this, they only know that gun owners are beneath their contempt and must be punished for being rednecks.

Do the Eastside guys and gals need any materials? I'm headed out to colville next weekend for hunting and I could drop off a bulk supply at a gun store along the way. You all would be responsible for distributing materials to various gun shops tho. I'd just be the delivery guy.

Note: I also need to check with my ride if we have enough room

I dropped off 6 yard signs at Adventure Sports and 13 signs at Lynnwood Guns. I also dropped of additional literature to those two gunshops plus Kenmore Shooting Range, Precise Shooter, and Outdoor Emporium. Get it while supplies last. One month until election! Home stretch baby! Let's goooo!
