I've never had a single ballot returned.  And there is no party registration in this state.

Then what is the primary?

This is exactly what they do.   Nearly a decade and only 2 ballots not kicked back for that reason, and it's not uncommon to see every mailbox on the row have the ballot kicked back for it.

All they have to do it get an early enough lead so they can call it.

Best way to prevent it seems to be using a drop box vs. actually mailing it.

Only for the presidential primary.  You can pick a different party the next election.  Nothing is "registered". The rest of the primaries in the state operate on the top two system.

Maybe you should fix the signature on your voter registration if they keep getting kicked back.

Again, I'm waiting for evidence for your "every mailbox" claim.

Hello state income tax and hello gun bans!
Bring it ...I hope they get it... it will be the last straw to light the fire and move to TX, and start the business there while still managing the business here... hire people in this  poophole to run it WA, $850,000 income per year is better than only $400,000 anyway.

Idiots here don't know communism if it hit them in the head every 5 seconds....we do.

Fuck, fuck, fuck. I have a sinking feeling in my stomach right now. I never saw myself leaving my beautiful home state but MT is looking pretty good right now.

There won't be.

I've actually personally observed ballot processing at King County Elections on an Election Night (if you can call it that given our mail-in ballot system). While there might be a "Shredder" as Scollins points out (our access was strictly limited and we were escorted everywhere), King County Elections seems to be on the up & up after their dicks got smashed over the Rossi fiasco's a few years back. Nothing legally happened but when the whole country makes you the butt of many jokes and casts doubt on the accuracy of your elections, you tend to somewhat shape up. Everyone I've dealt with there and at Pierce County Elections have been nothing more than welcoming and transparent.

It might have been and might still be a dog and pony show but I was and still am convinced that King & Pierce County run fair elections. There's no need for them to do underhanded shit now that the voting demographics favor their preferred candidates anyways. If you know the socialist dingbat is going to get elected, why bother tainting an election with impropriety?

It simply comes down to voter apathy (which someone pointed out earlier) and the general disconnect that most people out here in Washington have towards their local & state governments. The standard of living out here is good, people are busy, and their kids got a million things going on. Why would your average person take the time to inform themselves on the issues, speak to their elected officials, and get out the vote? They wouldn't. They've got a soccer carpool, a trip to Costco, and a dinner to make all while making sure their kids don't try to burn down the house.

The days of an informed & highly involved electorate are over. We've entered an age where paid rabble rousers and assholes swan about espousing socialist & communist bullshit to gullible fucks all while your conservative and moderate voters are too busy keeping up with the Jones or binge watching the latest shit on Netflix. Unless the days of owning real property/land, passing a test or paying a tax at the poll come back, our country will continue to be fucked.

Not a fucking thing we can do about it. You can't outbreed them. You can't outwit them because while you're working, they're at home on their asses collecting Welfare/EBT and plotting on Facebook with all of their other "associates".
The only possibility is to press the reset button but no one, including myself, is fully ready for what that might entail. Life is still too comfortable at this point. I might not like the winds of Socialism sweeping the plains but 95% of my life still goes on with little consequence. The same can be said for most of America.

I live in the 45th district and my vote has yet to be counted (I'm gonna assume my wife's ballot hasen't either). What the heck takes so long?

Did you mail it in or use a drop box?  If the former, what date did you mail it?

They have kicked mine back the last 3 elections.

I went in person to the board and voted this time.

I used one of the designated drop boxes in town. On election day ~5pm.

...and carbon tax, and per mile vehicle tax............  I just pray there are a couple centrist Ds, that listen to their constituents, and don't fuck with our guns.

Dingy is only in for a year, but it could be hell on earth here in WA.

Zip. Zilch. Nada.

We'll grouch about it and do an evaluation of our lives. If we're young enough, easily employable, or wealthy enough, we'll grab our shit and move to another state.

If we're not, we'll accept our rotten luck and hope that we're still alive when the state finally hits the shitter and snaps back to some form of normalcy.

Lot of truth right here. I am a property owner in Western Washington, and I love it there. Few places in this country as nice as the rural areas of Washington. The military took me from JBLM and out of there, at this point I will not fight to get back there, but look somewhere else as my next station.

I still read all the forums for Washington to stay current, and mostly it is the same NRA rhetoric repeated over and over to each other, same thing as Facebook. We get it, an AR does not mean assault rifle. You know who does not care what it means; everybody besides you and other firearm people. Nobody cares what it means, especially the soccer mom in Seattle LOL. You are wasting your time if you think otherwise.

Idaho is looking pretty good right now.

I retire in the summer of 2020 and WA is looking fairly sucky.

Lynden is a great little town, but high housing prices are pushing the libtards north.

The Bellingham cesspool has reached our fringes and the next few years don't look good.

This election isn't going to help.

We can see the higher liberal population percentage here in Lynnwood, Bothell, Edmonds, etc. by the traffic deteriorating very fast, burglaries increasing, including packages that before could be left at our doors by UPS and FedEx and now are stolen, and other signs that mediocrity and promiscuity are increasing.  For example, fights on the Edmonds' ferry lines because some scum try to break the line increasing to a point where they became first page on the Edmonds Beacon.

It's really disturbing how that crowd can deteriorate the places they move in that quickly.

King County folks can track their ballot status here:
https://info.kingcounty.gov/kcelections/vote/myvoterinfo.aspx

Mine was received and counted, at least according to the website.  Now, whether they actually ran the ballot through the Optical Scanner (Democrat votes) or the Paper Shredder (Republican votes) isn't quite clear......

I'm not in the 45th, so my ballot wouldn't have mattered either way to the outcome (shredded or not.)

If they do not shred they simply cross the name and mark the new one they want on the ballot.  That must have been designed specifically for fraud.  And if that's not enough they will "recount" and "find" as many ballots as they need under the voting machines that "forgot to be counted", like in any banana republic type government liberals love.
