Really? Are the Seahawks going to really do this?

Just heard on ESPN... It seems the Seattle Seahawks are going to have a solidarity sit/kneel in against racism during tonight's National Anthem. |

Professional sports is not the correct arena to show political rebellion and all of them, the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL needs to know this, without the fans, those sports will wither and die. All of these organizations have Promotional divisions that sell their shit to us, those Promo arms need to know the majority of the fans do not believe this is the proper way nor the proper form for this type of protest.
These athletes have their golden gooses because we watch and root for them, without those who have fought and died, they would not have the opportunities that they enjoy. |

Fans don't give a shit. They just want their entertainment, & it's also part of their identity; "my team", blah, blah, blah. The players, teams, & the league know they've got the fans in their back pockets, & the money is going to keep flowing. Yep, I said it. |

We'll see what their customers think. I remember all the baseball fans swearing they were done with the sport when the players struck. Next season, when the players got their demands & the season was, everybody lined up to buy tickets. Yeah, no. Fans don't give a shit. They just want their entertainment, & it's also part of their identity; "my team", blah, blah, blah. I agree time will tell, but on that, times have changed and while the NFL is big business, it's business has declined, not allot, but declined and I believe a lot of it is from these asshats and how their acting. No one wants to pay money or spend time watching something that doesn't let them escape reality for a little while. I stopped watching in 2012 or 2013; whenever Russel Wilson came on-board. Not because of him, but because it felt mindless to watch and I saw the political and/or biased bullshit start to trickle in. |
