Is there a requirement of witnesses (aside from the Notary) in WA?
Thanks, -john |

I've never seen a NFA trust with witnesses, just the trustor signature and notary. I set mine up a few months ago and had to have two witnesses. Then you used some trust template other than most use for NFA purposes. Probably something way overkill. Keep in mind your trust should ideally be dedicated to NFA items. |

I purchased one from nfsafirearmstrust.com and they also had witnesses. From reading their info, it sounds like they are trying to make it cover all states, and I assume some state(s) may have witness requirements.
I converted mine to an editable format and simply removed that page since it would make it much more of hassle. The upside of nfafirearmstrust.com is they had reasonable blurbs about each of the primary fields, although a few things could use improvement. Much better than the the very terse descriptions for the coyoterifleworks.com trust I also looked at. The downside is they don't provide an editable version of the document and it's pretty much one-size-fits-all. For example, it would be nice if they gave you a clear option to include a Schedule 1 or not. For my purposes, it's not a huge deal either way, but if you want to have a trust that doesn't include an integral Schedule 1, it may not be a good option. YMMV. -john |
