I've been looking for a land nav class and not had much luck. There is one in Olympia this spring that doesn't fit my schedule. Anybody here ever taken a class? If so where? Thanks in advance.

An orienteering class might be suitable. I think REI offers them, you just have to tolerate yuppies and smelly hippies.
