Application needs to be done in person from what I recall, after taking a class. I took a Utah class that also qualified for OR, just haven't done that permit yet. Maybe look into Utah and get a little extra out of it?

Good link, I missed that. How do you find out when the Sheriff is coming up? I heard it was a couple times a year.

Check with the Lacey Cabela's, as that's where they have held the Utah/Oregon/etc CCW classes.

Jeremy,
Yes the Maryland course is sufficient for Oregon CHL.
Thank you,

The Cabela's in Lacey is having a class this Saturday. $100 bucks for OR/UT/AZ. Does anyone know if this is just a safety class to meet the training requirements for those states? Or will we be able to apply as well?   I'd like a OR permit, especially if I don't have to drive to Grant OR.   I currently have my WA and NV permit so I don't care about AZ/UT.

It's just the safety class to meet the requirements. The $100 is just for the class requirement. You will have to send off course paperwork and money to the other states to get their CCWs. When I took the class last year, a bunch of people were pissed thinking the $100 was for the class and the permit. The permit is not included in the cost: just a forewarning.

It's a good class, but very common sense oriented if you've already read the Washington RCWs for CCW

I was in Skagit Arms recently, they has some kind of sign for a Utah CCW, I did not pay it much mind, assume for Oregon.  Whorehouse Sports had a similar deal before they closed the NW Location.
