The children protesting would rather get arrested than work with the city democrats to find a new location for their demonstration.
Apparently on Monday they will also be setting up an arts & crafts table to make protest buttons.
That's all I have to report for now. |

I've been doing my level to corrupt the "Occupy" facebook sites for my own political leanings. Think of it this way, the movement is a mass of empty headed voters. Whoever offers them leadership, is going to have the control. That's why the left is so quick to try to take the reins. I like to post things like; Stop unfair taxes, demand equality! A 10% flat tax across the board! OWS should REFUSE to be compromised by political parties! Get rid of the right, get rid of the left, and remain "We the people"!!!! We need to stop using corporate owned websites and phone carriers to coordinate. Utilize only small local carriers and let the big corporations die on the vine! It's pretty fun. |

I spent the week at sqlpass at the convention center. I walked thru westlake a couple of times just to see what was happening.
To me, it looked like the usual people that hang out there, only they had signs that said to the effect "I hate you, rich bitch 1%ers. Well, that and 6 live action news trucks there. And the cops.

What I can get from these people are...
They don't want to pay for college They want free hand outs They want only the rich to pay taxes because they hate the rich The want jobs The want to tax corporations I have to ask... You only go to college to help get a better paying job... so you can become rich but you don't want to pay? Why do you want to work if want them giving free hound outs? Why do you want to tax the corporations that create jobs? They want somebody else to do what they are too fucking lazy to do for themselves... Idiots Fucking stupid people and what has me disturbed is the shear numbers I am seeing. I think that 99% means the percent of the people are fucking morons. |
| Kids bitching about graduating from C and not being able to find work... damn it's the '90's all over again... oh, wait, if you did well in college then you could find something enough to get by and pay your low interest loans... hey, and you can now too, but it ain't gonna start at $50k/y dumb ass (let alone $100k like some of these db's think the deserve for getting C's at community college)... party too much then/party too much now... what's old is new... damn hipsters |

Quoted:
The 99% are the people that won't do their own landscaping, and would have voted for obama if he extended unemployment. I am only spreading the wealth that Obama has blessed upon me. Are you jealous? What have you done to spread the welth? At least I don't suffer form Narcissism... BTW Nice Avatar...

Quoted: Who doesn't graduate from college in debt? Went to dive school on the GI bill, and having been in Iraq most the previous year, got the maximum amount available for grants do to a low taxable income. Graduated debt free. And for poor people, they certainly have widespread access to luxuries such as digital cameras, computers and ISP services. Revolution knows no hypocrisy. |

Who doesn't graduate from college in debt? ![]() Served my country in my chosen field. When I was discharged, I was debt free, and had a solid work experience that companies wanted. These occupy kids think just because they got a degree, they are entitled to big money and a fast track to the top. They don't get the fact that despite all your education, you still have to show your skills and prove yourself before you get fast tracked to the top. You know, working hard and being rewarded for it. Isn't that the founding principle of our nation? |

I'm starting to see a theme in the Occupy complaints.
They seem to be gathering support in denouncing the SCOTUS decision in the Citizens United case. Their logic is that money corrupts politics, so it's a good idea to limit corporations from speaking because they have money. Personally I feel the SCOTUS came to the right conclusion in the Citizens United case because it ultimately protects freedom of speech. The campaign finance laws that were overturned by the decision basically promoted the status quo by protecting politicians from criticism of their policies. If a corporation was against harmful policies enacted by congress, they weren't allowed to do anything about it but complain quietly through the govt mandated channels of influence. Campaign finance laws act as a hurdle, preventing corporations and people from expressing ideas or protecting themselves from poor ideas. The Citizens United decision allows corporations to appeal directly to the people rather than being forced to pander to the sitting politicians. It's also important to note that originally, Senators weren't as susceptible to corporate donations prior to the enactment of the 17th amendment, which basically turned our bicameral legislature into a unicameral one. One house was supposed to represent the people, which was the House of Representatives. And the Senate was supposed to represent state legislatures. That system no longer exists as both the Senate and the House are representing the voting public. State governments are no longer represented in the legislature via the Senate. When the state legislatures had the sole authority to choose the Senators to represent the state, it was not necessary for them to fund massive campaigns for public support. In other words, corporations and their money were limited in their reach because only the House of Representatives relied on the public for votes. In my opinion, the Citizens United decision corrected a poorly conceived problem that would not exist if the progressives had not destroyed the concept of a bicameral legislative system. |

Yep... this is the type of people that are at the protest...

All these asshats sitting in Westlake bitching about no jobs, while people travel all the way from Mexico for jobs that pay over $100 a day.
Those urban idiots can't lift a finger to improve their own life, but the taxpayer has to provide for them? No damn way. |
Well, that and 6 live action news trucks there. And the cops.
