This year they're hiring 5000 people company wide (many for production work here in the factory) and a few hundred for the flight line work. You could be here a good solid two years before layoffs IF they come, but again that's a few years solid work. It's not hard to get on if you know how to interview and have some mechanical background or can demonstrate mechanical aptitude. Yes you can flunk out. Before you go on-and-on ARFcom style about the union, if you're a shit worker yes you'll survive but with a supervisor up your ass all day. If you're a hard worker you'll shine here and be rewarded...ask me how I know. The union doesn't change shit but bring out the worst in you if it's in your character. There's some lazys here yes, but they just make me look good. So instead of sitting at home and annoying people on the Internet cause you get off on instigating people through a computer screen, go get a job. |
