Well, my wife and I fail at being prepared for holiday douche bag thieves. She was at so hill mall and had the car parked at toys r us she left the gps mount ring in the window(ive told her to be aware of that but oh well). Sure as shit in the toy store for less than 20 minutes and came back unlocked the car (yup they locked it back up) drove to our house in eatonville and looks around her car........... somthing dosent seem right, fuck,.... gps is gone a little orginizer cupholder thing is gone and papers ruffled through. Lost the gps, a few little baby toy gifts from the baby shower she was at, a flash light, a gerber multi tool, and 5 space blankets.
Be careful out there, we filled out a police report handed a copy of that to the bank(kind of worried about id theft) and are going to rethink the stuff we keep in our cars. Now im going to spend the weekend at the pull apart to replace the door handle and re-key the lock fun fun ! |
| Also if you have remote garage door openers, don't leave those in your car. If a thief steals that and your registration they now know where you live, and have an easy way in. As most doors between the garage and house are just the hollow interior doors it doesn't take much to get through them. You might finish the police report for your car that was broken into only to find your home thrashed when you get home. Or worse. At the very least keep your registration locked up in your glovebox or center console. I'm almost thinking one of those locking steel gun cases for the car might not be all that paranoid after all. And military members, don't hang your dog tags from your rear view mirror. Come on, name, date of birth and SSN... |

I am reminded of a sick little fantasy I have involving a suppressed AR-30 in .338 Lapua... Hmmm a less lethal variation is to use a camera with telephoto lens, turn in pics to popo. |

DOC & DSHS will deliver comedy gold! It'll be like a hybrid of Cops & PeopleofWalmart.com. After that, we could go look at the Craftsman tools & Kenmore appliances. |

You ever just taken your garage door opener for a ride? You would be surprised to see what it will do. Did that when I was a kid. I was pushing the button and opened someone else's garage! Honest days way back yonder. My pops closed the garage door for them and we continued on our way. |

Except looking into someones car isn't a crime. And taking their picture after they're leaving with the stolen car doesn't help much.
There's a reason that cameras don't stop crime... |
