Ironic that you'd have to go to the city to shoot 1000 yards.

Not much for 1k. For a long time the state long range championships were held on Ft Lewis on range 23.

Douglas Ridge in Oregon

Rattlesnake in tri-cities

Don't think either will let you just show up and blast away at 1k anytime you want.

Even 300-600 is usually a scheduled/restricted thing at most ranges, I think Cascade has a 600 you can show up and shoot on and is a very very nice range.

Not exactly.  To use the 600 yd. range you have to be "certified" by one of the High Power gurus to prove you can hit the target without putting rounds through the roof of the 200 yd. shed.  And I don't think you're supposed to shoot without having someone in the pit to pull/score your target for you.

But, yes, it is a very nice range.

So that 1100 we have at Mica is unique? Go figger, it's offset by Joel's Creepiness.

Unique yes, not many free-fire ranges like Joel's around......but its no where near SW WA.

Yes... at Cascade you must be a member and pass a competency test to shoot 600 but once done you can atleast shoot 600.
