I broke my lecia  camera nothing  fancy takes good pics still  but the lense protector shutter thing wont open only works  when i hold it open. Anyone know of a good camera shop locally (pierce county) that works on cameras. BTW i did google it just looking for recomendations on shops ya'll may have used as i know we have some real good shuttebug types around here.

When my D30 Canon messed up, I found it cheaper and faster just to send it back to Canon. Came back with a guarantee also.
Something to think about.

I'm going to guess that this is a point and shoot type of camera; if that is correct then sending to the manufacturer or one of their very few factory authorized service centers is the best hope for getting a working camera back.  Even at that they aren't likely to fix your actual camera but instead they'll swap it for a refurbished one.  All for a fee of course assuming it's out of warranty.
Just as an FYI back in the day of film cameras it was $50-$80 just to get a SLR looked at by a repair person, if they had to work on the price went way up.





A replacement for a blown shutter on a D series Canon DSLR is $250-$400 last I noticed.
