Anyone going to give it a try this weekend?  I was thinking of heading to the Lewis on Sunday.  Catch is light but they're still pulling them out

I would love to go fishing this weekend, but I have finals next week, so no fishing unless I can study at the same time.

???  Are you implying that we should just go *buy* fish at the store?  I'd rather get my mercury poisoning through my own efforts, TYVM!

I'm implying that going fishing is a lousy way to save money, and I'm too fuckin lazy anyhow.

Safeway had shrimp flavored Cup-O-Noodles on sale this afternoon for 2 bits each. So I bought 72 of them on a whim. That's 21,600 calories for $12, and I didn't even have to get a license for them. Who gives a shit if they don't taste like shrimp. Shrimp don't taste like shrimp in most restaurants either.

Go catch & clean all the damned fish you want to

OdT That makes a terrible lure, plus while it hooks you in it's barbless

I got my own place I go to

I'm just here to stir up the hate and discontent. (I grew up on fresh seafood and on rivers like the one in your pics)

On another forum I read there is someone who's sigline reads "Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not
fish they are after. - Henry David Thoreau"

Exactly why I'm not a fisher. I will stick to hunting and gathering.

I'll be on the bank near the hatchery on Sunday.  I usually have a boonie cap on, sometimes a cowboy hat.  See me, say hay.

I'm not going unless they lower the amount of water they're letting out from Merwin. Might go fish some shallows on the Columbia instead.
