Just realised that someone made off with my spare set of wheels and tires for my motorcycle, along with a couple other spare parts, a swingarm, a faring, ect.  I'm so pissed.

That is all

I know how you feel. someone stole a full 5 gallon gas can of premium right out of the back of my pickup, the damn thing sits on 37's and has a 9 inch lift. The can was chained even down. I wish I could of caught the bastard.

One of the only things I agree with the ROP on is their (de)handling of thieves. Bastards, I hope you get your stuff back.

That sucks.  Luckily I've got acreage to bury thieves on.

Can you make a theft claim with your motorcycle insurance carrier, if you have insurance?  This stuff might be considered accessories or you could tell them it was stolen off the bike where it was parked.

that would be a fraudulent claim then.

Actually, OP just said they were spares.  He didn't tell us whether the spares where on the bike or not.  Ever seen someone driving a car with a spare tire on it for a few days or weeks?

Also, OP could make a claim to homeowners or renters insurance if this would be covered.  I never said OP should make a claim to his vehicle insurance (oh yes I did!!), if OP even has MC insurance in WA (it's not required).

How did they get into your locked garage and where are the damage pictures of the garage doors/windows?

At the very least theft is covered as property loss by your home / tenant insurance.

I'd call the agent.

Watch Craigslist. Motorcycle parts tend to show up there within 3-4 days of them being stolen. I know first hand.

My parts were recovered that way
