Saw a thread in GD about Cabelas but figured I'd ask here.
Does anyone here have a Cabelas Visa card and collect club points. Looking into it I see that is is basicly 1 point per $1 spent. And if I paid my rent in plastic, $1000 = 1000 points. Gun for sale for $700. Use points for free gun? Free gun a month? Sell on EE = Free rent? |

Quoted: does it really turn back into one point = one dollar to spend at cabelas? No way in hell. 1 point = 1 cent. https://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/club/reward-application.jsp;jsessionid=OGDUXPID02HZXLAQBBISCO3MCAEFEIWE math on that page. ETA: You only get points for purchases made at Cabelas. You get 2% back every year for Cabelas purhcases and 1% back from all other Visa purchases. Earn more FREE gear with every charge
Little digging and it wasn't hard to find. |

Yep. 1 cent for every dollar outside of Cabelas. 2 cents for every dollar inside of Cabelas. I signed up when I got a half off coupon and 25$ in free points. I have since also gotten over 25$ in free points from other events. Also gotten multiple coupons and specials in the mail just for having the card. All in all I think I have saved around $200 bucks due to points and specials just for having it... And to be honest I never use it except for at Cabelas so that isn't so bad. |

We built our house using the Cabela's credit card.
We would pay on-line to free up the limit at least once per week, some times more often than that. Bought gift cards at Home Depot @ $5,000 each so that we could buy our cabinets, ($24,000 equaled $240 in cabels buck just for running money through my construction account to cabelas), and paid for all wood/supply orders and as many subs that would take the card like the overhead door company and the concrete and rock suppliers. All in all I got a Springfield XD compact in .45ACP, a pair of waterproof hunting boots, an 80lb thrust 24V trolling motor for my driftboat, A buttload of .22LR ammo and shotgun shells, and a few other goodies, plus I still have about $200 in bucks. All in all, I think I earned $2,400 in the past year. Didn't pay a cent of interest. |
