Somewhere on the west coast of the Olympic Peninsul there are supposed to be a bunch of pigs the escaped a decade or 2 ago. Big write up on it in one of the hunting mags. Always thought it would be interesting but supposed to be some really tough understory to deal with. I forget which drainage it was in. |

I have chased pigs, been chased by pigs, shot pigs and ate them wild pigs They are hard to find without a good tracking dog in this state unless you spend many days looking and get lucky. Many times when they are found they will be on private property and the land owner wont allow hunting or hunting with a gun but some will allow with Archery. . Hint Hint many on the indian res |

Can one just roll onto the res and start whacking pigs? I know for bear, one needs an indian "guide". Fishing too. |

Hint Hint many on the indian res That is pretty much where I have heard they are. That has got to be some tough country to pig hunt compared to Hollister and the Sierra Foothills where I grew up. The sun is highly overrated. So long as it comes out for Seafair and a few days during Salmon season, I'm good. |

I have shot 3 pigs out of Hollister just around the corner from the Hollister hills RV rec park, we used to take the quads 4 wheeling there and hunt pigs on the private ranch land near by. |
Me and a buddy spent more than a few weekends looking for those sumbitches around the wynoochie years ago, even asked the sporting goods store guy in Montesano about them, and he laughed at us.
Never found anything, but I've heard from others they're on the rez. |
