Hey guys, Long story short, my girlfriend is in the market for a new bed (mattress, box spring, frame). The problem is she can only afford $300.00. Does anyone know where we can find a decent new setup for around that price? Im sick to death of her Ikea futon mattress and wood plank bed she spent $100 on, my back hurts like hell after sleeping on it. We live up in Monroe if there's anything close.

I saw this thread and I went... OOOOooOOOO I can offload my futon! but then I read the post...  BTW I believe Mor furniture for less should have a Sealy Oak Forest Twin for about 250 or so (not including tax, and it's a box spring set) however it's a twin bed... I don't think you're going to find anything (new) in bigger sizes for less than 500 ... Twin bed isn't bad if yer both gunna sleep in it, just keep it tucked in the corner of the room that way there is only one direction you will fall out and believe me two people on a twin bed, one of you is bound to fall out; ask me how I know. |

For 2 people do a Queen size: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40156396 - if you already have a Queen bed frame then get this mattress $299.- http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39849855 - if you also need a Queen bed $199.- or you could just build your own box easily enough using 3/4" plywood and lumber (you're going to cover up the box anyway, no point in making it pretty). |
