I am coming up from Oregon to visit my parents in Shelton and I am thinking of taking them up to Seatle for lunch. I don't think any of us have ever been. Any suggestion or tips, parking, ect...
Oh and maybe a little with my Dad.

Its been a while but as I remember they had valet parking. if you go to their website you should find the menu with prices for the restaurant. You could take the bremerton seattle ferry as I remember the ride was nice.

Take one pass on the side streets looking for an open non metered non-time limited (watch for signs that say 2 hour limit) on street spot if you aren't lucky the Space Needle has Valet parking.

Pricing is as follows:

SkyCity Restaurant and SkyLine Event guests with validation

first 4 hours: $8.00

after 4 hours: $16.00

General Public and Observation Deck guests

flat rate: $12.00

after 4 hours: $24.00

Taxes are included.

If you're coming for lunch and then hanging around just leave the car there and hop a cab to the market or whatever else downtown.  The frustration you save in finding (and paying) more parking will be worth the extra money.

Yeah, the food is not much to write home about. It's all about the view, with the meal you get to enjoy the view longer, and sounds like with good company. I'd recommend not drinking alcohol if you're easily um influenced

it can get kind of dizzy if you're not used to it (the restaurant revolves around, literally spinning, with alcohol it really gets going).

Thanks for all the tips. I think we will have a great time.
