Actor David Carradine Dead at 73 Thursday, June 04, 2009 
“Kill Bill” star David Carradine was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room Wednesday, his manager told FOX News Thursday. His manager told FOX News that it is believed the actor died of natural causes. Carradine, 73, was staying in Bangkok while shooting a movie. The film crew became aware of his absence when they went to dine out at a restaurant yesterday. When a producer went to his room, he discovered that the actor had died. Carradine was best known for his role in the television series “Kung Fu.”

Something doesn't add up here.
His manager told FOX News that it is believed the actor died of natural causes.
It said a preliminary police investigation found that he had hanged himself with a cord used with the room's curtains. It cited police as saying he had been dead at least 12 hours and there was no sign that he had been assaulted.

I've never met any guy (who isn't a Bhudist Monk) that has been in Bangkok Thailand that wasn't there for the express purpose of drinking/drugging and/or fucking. And the fucking part usually was with minors. I know that is a broad brush, but I'm going to wait and see where this goes. I know Mr. Carridine was into Eastern religious/philosophy, and he was also 72, so there are a couple of scenarios in his favor for not being a perverted sick fuck with kids. <edit> Didn't see the movie part - if so he was there for the express purpose of drinking/drugging and/or fucking and making a movie. |

I'm always suspicious of these kinds of suicides. He crosses the asian mafia, they kill him, ruled a suicide. It's always easier for lazy fuck police to rule suicide than to do any kind of meaningful police work.
OTOH, apparently there is a 2004 interview where he admitted to being suicidal. I always liked him.

But I was on my ship when I was there. I didn't go there on my own, they took me. Besides that, I didn't know she was a minor.

An independent autopsy confirmed that he did not whack himself. Apparently his hands were tied. More info coming. We'll see if it's covered as much as his death. I doubt it. Pornthip Rojanasunand, director of Thailand's Central Institute of Forensic Science, said the circumstances under which Carradine died suggest the 72-year-old actor may have indeed been performing auto-erotic asphyxiation. The practice involves temporarily cutting off the supply of oxygen to the brain to heighten the effects of a sexual climax.
"In some cases it can suggest murder, too. But sometimes when the victim is naked and in bondage, it can suggest that the victim is doing it to himself," said Pornthip, considered the country's top criminal forensics expert. She did not take part in the autopsy. "If you hang yourself by the neck, you don't need so much pressure to kill yourself," she said. "Those who get highly sexually aroused tend to forget this fact." |
