well, I got my second pair of boots issued today, and since I'm a sucker for punishment, I thought, "hey, lets go break these in by hiking 5 miles up a hill." And then I thought, "well why not invite some friends, pack some dinner and watch the sun set?"
So I did. Mt. Stuart was out...

With heavy leather work boots, I use to wear my olds for the first 3/4 of the day and the new ones the last part of the day.
Then after a couple days I would wear the old ones for the first half of the day and the new ones the last half. You should get the picture about now. Wearing new boots till your feet are sore then putting the old ones back on sore feet doesn't help. But I did get some strange looks from my fellow workers. BTW: Nice views
