While I was getting ready to put my AR together I was picking up some of the misc. pieces for the build and needed a buffer.  Spikes was running a special on thier ST-2T (heavy tungsten) buffers so I decided to pick one up.  On another board I am on I mentioned using this part and I was heavily dissuaded against using it and told to get a standard buffer.

Why is this?  Is it to heavy of a buffer?  Poor performance?  What makes it different than a regular one other than the weight?  Why would it not be good to use in the rifle?

All you can do is give it a try and see if it works with your upper.

Other than weight, the only con i can think of is if you are running a rifle or mid-length gas system.  Carbines run rough, so the H2 buffer helps smooth it out.  If you don't have the increased gas pressure from a shorter tube, you might have some FTE's.

Take this with a grain of salt, cause i'm kind of a noob when it comes to black rifles, but I can read (sometimes).
