At the Puyallup show today a fella had some Mega striped lowers for $195. Wanted to buy one but seeing as I haven't been able to locate a lower parts kit figured I would just wait. Is Mega a good lower to build on?
Did anyone else see the Smith & Wesson striped lower for $450.? |

I went briefly. Saw crappy prices and ridiculous advertising including “HARD TO FIND” SIG P220’s. How stupid do you think we are?
Everything was up in price again. Only a couple tables with lowers either made by someone I had never heard or priced ridiculously. Not that I am shopping for lowers… |

I saw a few lowers as "cheap" as $150-160...
Saw the $450+ S&W lower.
Prices were 98% insane, so we spent our time looking for the 2% and didn't find much... I think guys are seeing these retard-prices and figure its a time to make a buck and if people are buying at those prices, I don't blame them... I'm tempted to unload a few myself... |
| I had to wait in line for an hour to renew my membership, so that I could sell my Benelli. I saw very few good deals. The J&S guys had stripped lowers for $159, they were off brand, but that was the lowest I have seen in a while. I saw quite a few beat up Mak-90s for $800+. All in all it is what I have come to expect from the show. I have been going to the show for 15 years now and rhink some of the table holders are still trying to offload some of the same over priced junk I saw at my first show. |
| I'm kinda thinkin' I might pop in there tomorrow.............maybe...............I did let my membership expire, and it IS the Feb show (in the pavilion, kinda lame and crowded........)..........but I might have a look around, see if I find anything of interest.............maybe.......... |

They're both closed on Sundays and there's a lot of stuff at shows, stuff worth buying even, that you're not be likely to find at those shops, it's not their business model. You have to think about gun shows as a big grab bag, you just never know what you'll get until you look. Half of a show isn't about finding what you need it's about finding what you didn't know you needed or didn't know you wanted. |

I picked up a CavArms lower for 150 from JCWeaponry in the building to the left as you walk in the gate, and a 20" crome lined SAK barrel for 100 from some random guy. There were a few "deals" there Roggio and Mega could be had for 150 if you went to J&S in the pavilion, they have LPKs too, they are OLY, but Blackwell has lowers made by Mega for them and LPKs too. should be a good price.

It is also always a please to always stop by and see the surplus ammo guys. Thankfully today they are right by the door so I didn’t need to wander around too much |

Not going this time, too far, too crowded.
I did happen to sell a complete lower, slightly used, to a dealer for a $100 more than I bought it from another dealer at the show 2 months ago for and who was selling the same thing for the same price across the room at last week's Monroe show. Wow, that has to be the most convoluted sentence that I have ever written . The reason I keep my membership is to maximize my personal profit opprotunities of selling to tableholders just to see them mark it up to way more than the value. This way, I get to visit all my old shit every month, but no longer have to find somewhere to keep it stored at my house

what were the details with Clinton at Carrico Arms? I've bought a number of things from him in the past. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=15&t=339294 |

Stopped back at the show this afternoon and the crowd was not bad then. Looked at buying the Mega lower and upper but didn't due to lack of part kits. Seems like nobody has them. Called Rock River and was told that all their parts are going toward their builds.
The price of ammo and firearms there is crazy. A lot of those table holders are in love with what they have as shown by their asking price. I'm sure to some degree that they take a lot of thier stuff back home with them after every show. MC |

Did anyone else see the McCann Industries guy in the back of the building to the right. He had some M1 Garands converted to 458. magnum.
McCann 458 They looked really nice, sadly I can't afford the $2500 + Garand that he wants to build one. |
