Okay, thought I would let you guys in on this since it requires help to suceed!!!
Hope it is ok to post a thread like this.....sure Phil will let me know! So, I am sure you all know about the job loss/ move and then having to sell my rifle and then the next day finding out I did not have to sell it because the money was on the way.......turned out that I would have had to sell it eventually due to screw up with unemplyment and it taking longer to kick in..... So, no rifle.....no way to buy another untill a job kicks in and and all of that shit. BUT DAMN IT I WANT A RIFLE! WAAAAA!!!!!! First, let me state this is not Patch begging for shit or anything......I came up with an idea that helps me get what i want and will benefit someone else down the road if all goes well....... 
My plan is to build a rifle on the cheap.......best rifle I can for as little amount of $$$ as I can. I am buying one of the WHTF lowers and starting with that. My idea is to put out to you guys the call for other parts.......inexspensive works best!!!! Get a list going here in this thread of the parts i am aquiring, that way others can offer up other parts. Once I have all that is needed, we put the damn thing together and then i grab it running off into the woods cackling like a madman cuz i got me a rifle, never to be seen or heard from again................hahah j/k!! Boom, gots me a rifle again. Then, when I am working again and can then actually buy the rifle I want....exactly what I want, not a patchwork basic rifle, we put the "PatchO-Patchwork Build" with the WHTF lower up here for anothe brother in need of a rifle.......a rifle that in a way belongs to us all because we all contributed towards it. A rifle that could keep changing hands to those who are in need.......we see it alot, guys having to give em up due to circumstances........would not be like a random PIF either.....would be a kind of consensus thing........ I have brand new unkown brand trigger and hammer, A2 pistol grip and when I find a new Stag selector I can give you the old selector i have.
I think this is a great Idea but would like to add that I think this rifle, like you said should only go to people that are going to be buying a rifle in a decent amount of time and would like one at the moment. So when that person get's one can give it to another WAHTF member in the future. It would be a great tradition for the WAHTF. Just my $0.02 Anyway LMK when and where to send it. |

I have some take down pins (front & back)
Take down springs extractor springs blue extractor rubber doo dad ejection port cover spring, "c" clip, and rod Buffer dedent and spring have a ton o small parts... just lots of the same thing. I'll dig a round. Send me your addy and I'll get the parts off to you. |
