I have a strange request here.
Is there someone that has T Mobile for their cell provider? What I need is my IMEI number called in to have it unlocked so I can switch over to my AT&T provider. Beer will be provided... I'm in Auburn as far as my location goes. Thanks. |

I have been with voicestream/T-mobile since 2000. I have never heard of being able to call in the imei number and have the phone unlocked. Same here, My SIM card still says Voicestream on it too!!! anyway, There are places online that will "sell" you the code. |
| Unless i'm mistaken, the IMEI number should be labeled both on the phone itself (either software or sticker tag in battery compartment) and on the box that the phone came in, you should be able to just call it in from any land line. Were you looking to use a tmobile locked phone with an AT&T sim card? They have unlocking programs online for that. |

I just thought that someone who has TMO as a carrier could call in for me to get the unlock code. That is what I was asking for. Looks like I'll do the online thing... |

Any T-Mobile subscriber can call in to Customer Care and get an unlock code generated and emailed to them.. I think Care will still let you request one code every ninety days.
I'd do it for you, but I work for T-Mobile, and defeating a subsidy lock isn't worth my job. Sorry man
