Since I am living "On the cheap" I tend to find internet where I can ... meaning I find WiFi hotspots, etc... to do my surfing and emailing...
The other day, I was hoping to pull off the road into the Staples parking lot (Silverdale) since I knew they had a hotspot and check email, and look at a few things here on the boards. Imagine my surprise when I got set up, connected to the Staples network, and went to check the WAHTF and got the message that "This site is block due to inappropriate content" Ouch! I know, I know - they own the hotspot, and can regulate it anyway they see fit. So I'm being a bit hypocritical, but unless you're looking at a BOTD thread what's inappropriate about ARFcom? Ah well, just thought I'd pass it along. I don't know if it's Staples corporate policy or just this local one. |

Our corporate network has a list of approved sites that can be viewed.
Everything else is blocked. Not sure if there is any way to get around that. You know you are bored when you are looking at CNN.com and Bobistheoilguy.com for entertainment. At least Bobistheoilguy has a firearms forum.
