I went to Plantation Range in B-ham on Sunday to shoot my new XD9sc and sight in my Aimpoint on my Stag AR and "WOW" that place is amazing. I never seen a place so structured. The price to shot was cheap $8.00 for pistol and a additinal $4.00 for the rifle range. They even provide a spotting scope if needed for a extra $4.00 bucks but I had my own binoculars. There is always a range master watching, calling cease fire when new people arrive to put up more target's. Even telling the little gangbangers that came in with there AK's and letting them know this wasnt a pit, it's a range, to slow it down. I thought that was great. There pistol range goes out to 100 yards which I didnt even try and rifle range went out to 300 yards. The best thing that I liked was it is open everyday. Greens in Oak Harbor is only open Thursday-Saturday. If you've already been then you know what I'm talking about and if you havent, mapquest it and go. I give this place a 10 out of 10. If some one know's a better place then this LMK cuz this place was great.

I love this XD. I put 300 round's of Winchester 115gr Luger through it. This is the first time I've shot a XD period. My impressions on this gun is it is very acurrate from the distance I shot at which was 15' and 25'. I was staying in a good group in the 25 foot position no more then 1" to 2" group shoot. The 15' shot position was way better with 1/2 to 3/4 group shot. I must say that this gun felt very good in my big hands even with the 10 round mag. The only thing I disliked was the trigger reset but that can be upgraded in the future. The recoil was great and I had no problem finding my target after every shot. I like this gun very much. I'm now a true beliver in XD's and will try to buy every caliber they come in.

Awesome.  Damn accurate for such a small gun.

I'm a Glock guy myself, but I know the XD's do have their virtues.  I know the grip on the XD does feel good in the hand.

That's one of the things that's got me "back in love" with the 9mm again––that easy shootin' and super fast recovery time.  Been carryin' the G17 alot lately because of it.

And that extra capacity is great!  Yeah, I've got a 33 rnder in the glove box!

Plantation is only open every day in October because of Fudd season.

The indoor range sucks for pistol since you have to use TMJ ammo.

You mention Greenes, (that place has sucked since Old Man Greene passed away), does that mean you're on Whidbey?

You should be a member of the NWSA.

Now they're open every day.

That sucks. I didnt know this. I'm tring to get in with http://www.northwhidbeysportsmen.org/  but I went there last meeting and the guy with all the paper work didnt show. So now I have to go back and then wait a month to get accepted in. To all sorry I reported on the range and not my shooting skills. I'm new, shinny, still in the box, not unrapped, price tag not rubbed off.
