I do not own a Glock....but my neighbor does. He really doesn't know much about guns, he just wants one. He bought this several years ago and really hasn't used it much, < 250 rounds. So I am looking at his Glock today and I can see daylight through the gun, where the slide meets the frame.... ![]() And the bottom of the slide that meets the frame is not even. Are these normal characteristics for a Glock? |
No, I don't think he does...I'll point out the gaps to him and offer him $100 take it or leave it... ![]() But I'm not really a Glock type of guy. |

Proud Glock 22 owner here, I feed it and it goes bang. I've got about 200 rounds through my 2 month old G22. No complaints so far other then economics since I'm used to a 1911 with a decent grip angle. Just takes a little bit to get used the the extreme grip angle that the glocks use. Only been to the range 2 times with this gun, but I won't carry something I'm not comfortable with and I do happen carry the glock. I've found that other then getting a feel for the different grip angle that the glock is one of the most reliable firearms I've ever owned. If you have any questions feel free to IM me and also check out www.glocktalk.com. Please forgive any spelling or grammer errors as I am on my 4th Rum and Coke in less 2 hours. |

As others have pointed out, glocks are a damn good pistol. Don't take my drunk ass word, just tell him that you want to shoot it before you put $$$ down. You will discover that a glock is almost revolver like in it's ability to go "BANG" every time you pull the trigger. I really believe that you will love the glock after you shoot it. Again don't just take my drunk word for this, as my G22 is now voluntarly locked up in a safe that I do not have the combo too due to me drinking my beyond "limits". And again please forgive any spelling or grammer errors due to me have guite a few captain and cokes. Edit: What kind of Glock are we talking about here? |
Buy it, shoot it, carry it, then you will be a Glock type of guy. I was raised in 1911's and my dad picked one up in about 1991, I fell in love. Have owned "a few" since. She/they are the only gun/guns that I trust absolutely, positively 100% of the time when I carry her/them. My Reminton 870 Police would be also be in that category but I don't carry her much.... BTW, the gaps are normal. Good luck and enjoy if you get a chance to purchase it! |
