45 ACP has gone up 3 bucks a box...and my 45 inventory is low.

ETA: I was purchasing a soft case for my M1A today, took a look at 45 ACP and about lost my lunch.

I see your timing is as good as mine.

When it comes to pistol calibers, you have to be insane not to reload.

I can reload pistol ammo for the price of the primer and powder charge, by recasting reclaimed lead the bullet only costs time and a few pennies for heat.

The nine costs me 4 cents to reload.

Makes pistol carbine conversion a good idea as well.

My reloading pistol ammo is twice as much as Strats.  And that is only becuase I'm too lazy to handcast.

My carry loads are reloads and I use copper jackets in both the Glock 19 and the 460 Rowland, the copper jacleted hollow points cost me 6.5 cents each, still cheap for self defense ammo.

So... how much do you charge per round?

The cheapest I find 45acp 230 gr RN plated is around 144.00 plus shipping a K. The primers I like Fed large pistol haven't been around for several months. I shoot indoors most of the time with hand guns so plated are in order.

Reloading…I keep wanting/meaning to look into it. Finding the time is the thing.

It is very satisfactory to sit down and punch out 300 rounds an hour without breaking a sweat.  So instead of watching several hours of TV a week I reload.  Right now I'm in my "Finding-the-optional-69-grain-round-for-my-rifle" stage.  Next week it may be my "I'm-going-to-punch-out-a-1000-rifle-rounds-in-three-days" stage.

It is a Zen thing.

That is if Zen talked about the end of the world while punching out cartridges and alternately praising and cursing his parents existence.
