I guess I'm playing devil's advocate a little here, but if I wanted to burn down some houses and make sure the media made a bigger stink about it than they normally would, I'd probably pray paint some ELF shit on a sheet and hang it nearby, too. Any group of shitheads can gather, plan and execute something like this, and say they are part of ELF, since there no one official at ELF is going to confirm or deny their "membership" in such an organization. From their web site: "The Earth Liberation Front "ELF" is an underground movement with no leadership, membership or official spokesperson." That means that everyone is a member of the ELF, or everyone is not a member of the ELF. It is an idea, not an organization. How many security companies do you think are getting phone calls right now by contractors/development companies? |

Why? Are you some kind of fucking class warrior? Rich people got that way through sacrifice, and hard work. I'm not rich now, but I sure as fuck want to be. My family was broke as a joke when I was young. We (family of 4) had to live in my dads friends basement. And now my fathers construction company is thriving beyond our wildest expectations... He now owns multiple houses in Seattle, Mercer Island, Snoqualmie. By your standards he is one of those rich guys. Does it make your day when guys like my dad get their shit destroyed? I like my membership here so Ill leave it at that.

Actually, "rich" folks are more likely to have insurance. Well, guess who really pays for insurance claims like this? All of the folks that have insurance through whatever company is going to pay out the claim. If you are insured through that company, you, too, will have to pay your share. Now, the odds of you being insured through he same company are on your side, but if you are using the same company, than the rich get inconvenienced, and your wallet gets a nice dry ass fucking. Enjoy it. That's the feeling of getting screwed by some shitheads with matches, gasoline, and just enough of a sociopathic disorder to make everyone pay for their little fun night out, which they might get away with. I hope your not so fucking gleeful about it now, and some of that silly look on your face is gone. I understand the tone of my post is a little on edge, but to think that "only the rich are hurt here" is just fucking ridiculous. |

easier way to look at it: someone had to respond,deal with, investigate the incident. Those people get paid, some being called out/back to work so they get overtime/call-out or whatever pay, from the look of the alphabet soup of acronyms on the jackets seen in news footage, its not just locals, so state and fed's budgets were effected.....meaning WE all can look forward to them wanting more money down the line, drop trousers and bend over. thanks ELF oh yeah, were did all the thousands(?) of gallons of water used to contain the blaze come from....where did the runoff go? what contaminants were in the runoff? Didn't they want to ban all outdoor burning cuz the smoke was bad for the environment? good thing no builder will think about cutting down more trees to rebuild the homes. Friggin morons. |
