So things have happened that prompt Mrs. XD and I to migrate again. We're headed to Missouri soon. My Mother is getting older and my brother could use a little help since he's doing everything for her now. So, off we go. I have a not so small problem and could use some opinions. We have a gun safe and I'm not really all that keen to move it across country. So do I sell it as part of the house or put it up for sale? We've only talked to two land sharks about selling the house so far. One was ambivalent, made reference to it being personal property, and the other got hysterical when I mentioned it and went off on an irrational rant. So do I basically give the safe away as part of the house or sell it? |

A two year old Liberty Franklin from NW Safe. This is a nice safe but you start thinking about moving an 840 lb. safe and its not such a dumb question. |

When I sold my house, the safe was in the living room and was available with the house, for 500 bucks. New buyer didn't want it, so I moved it to my new place. I'd say offer it with the house for the amount of money you don't want to bother with it for. If the new buyer don't want it, put in on EE or CL |

+1 My neighbors house sold the "Gun Safe" as a "Vault." You know, for your valuable papers, jewellery, and other things. It was in the flier and everything and was actually part of the deal for the Realtor walk through. "...and we have Pergo floors, marble counter tops, a vault for your important things, walk in closet..." Remember, fertilizer is just shit in a bag. Change the description from gun safe to vault. |
