| Noticed a few others seem to have lab pups a little older than mine currently, looking for some tips or good books/videos. He just turned 9 weeks so I have had him a month now only the occasional piss in the house moment but for the most part all outside. Working on the basics but he’s not really getting it sort of does what he wants if he doesn’t or gets reprimanded he goes behind the toilet or some other place to hide and sulks for a bit. I’m hoping he is just a little young but I don’t want to start a lot of bad habits right off the bat. |
All I can say, is the runt of the litter could very well be the dumbest of the litter. She's making a liar out of me. I've been braggin' how labs are so harmless and the smartest...and I end up with the only lab I've ever known to contradict everything I ever thought I knew about labs. And yes, I've had many. OTOH, I could very well have the states largest collection of puppy turds.....

| Funny, Ben is Just over 3 months and he trained over a month ago. Whines or paws the door when he wants out. Sure can eat, he's as big as my sheltie mix right now. over 30 pounds. Good thing I have a vacant lot next door for the dog poop! He also sits up and he chews anything that doesn't move! |
I have always let dogs eat all they want. |
+1 Just gotta let them excersize a lot also. |

Humping He has been mounting anything and everything that he could wrap his legs around since we brought him home anyone else have this happen. I think its funny now but hopefully it will stop once we take his balls from him. My older golden never stopped and somepeople dont think its as funny as I do. Little girl went over to pet him and he knocked her down and then mounted her, the parents were less than impressed. |
I have been up beating mine this morning.
