I love Springfield. Last May my wife bought me for my B-Day a new Iwo Jima Limited Edition M1 Garand. Beautiful gun. Well it had some problems, the op rod was seizing up, I could not get a full clip through the gun. I tried to buff out any burrs but still could not get it to stop seizing up. So I sent Springfield an email explaining the problem, they said to ship it to them and they would fix it and have it back to me ASAP, estimated repair time at one month. So I shipped it out, they had the gun less than a week and Monday I got an email telling me it shipped out on its way back to me. FedEx delivered it today. Whole new op rod and runs great. And the best part is they took care of this at no charge. I have several other Springfield firearms and love every one of them. I cant wait to buy another.

If you have the receipt from when you shipped it to them, call them up and ask if you can fax it over for a reimbursement.

When I sent my 1911 they said they would pay up to $50 of the shipping.  Overnighting it to SA was $52.  I got a check for $50.  It might take a month though because they send them out in groups once a month if I recall.  But they key is, you have to ask for it, and you need the receipt.

Good to hear.

I have an M1A that might have to make a trip back, the oprod is difficult to remove and I'd like to see that corrected.

Same thing here, 'cept I got it back in a week!

I sent a printout of the fedex website order page, since I had it on my FedEx account I wouldn't have a receipt.
