This is probably not the best day to ask this since most of you are almost blind from last night....but: Well I'm doing the break-in, 1 shot, clean, 1shot, clean, etc... I take a look at the ejected shells and I see marks my fudd-guns don't make....are these normal?? There is one small dent crossways almost half way up from the bottom, and two small gouges at the neck. pics attached. If not normal what do I need to fix, If yes normal what is the mechanism that causes the marks??? Thanks all......and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!    Mike ETA: does this affect reloading the brass??? |

Totally normal. The two nicks on the neck are from the lugs as the round is chambered. The nick on the side is from the rear edge of the ejection port. No effect on reloadability. Also, what barrel do you have. Unless it's a stainless match barrel, break-in procedures are a waste of time. |
