3 weeks almost to the day..I mailed in my C&R renewal form..It came to today. damn..the ATF-E was quick on that.

A C&R allows me to buy certain rifles or handguns interstate without having to get a FFL transfer......they're shipped right to my front door. It also gets me a discount at Brownells and Midway. best 30 bucks I've ever spent.

As Phil said...NO bad ju-ju it is for personal collecting only.
I've known a person or two that drew an audit because they would buy a quantity of firearms...cherry pick them and sell the less desirable pieces..ATF-E was not amused.

Can't remember how long my renewal took to arrive, but my original application was turned around quite quickly. I received my license in the mail exactly 13 days after I mailed the application.

Unless I'm missing something, for $30 and a bit of paperwork you get a GINOURMOUS discount at Midway and Brownells with a C&R. I ordered my paperwork today and will keep everyone posted

Well..you do get the dealers discount..It's good..but not enormous...but like I said best 30 bucks I ever spent. btw AIM has laminated 91/30's for 80 bucks

My understanding is that you can sell/trade stuff from your collection, but if "THEY" get the idea that you are buying with the intent to sell, you are screwed, with a capital "F".
IOW, once you have it, you can sell or trade it, but don't do an immediate turnaround, and don't order stuff FOR someone else.
