I'm looking for a 1st gen night vision monocular for looking in trailer and RV windows at LCR. It might do double duty allowing LaBunny and myself to get around in the dark when nature calls. Why use a flashlight when the technology is there? ![]() Anybody tried any of this stuff? |
Why would you need night vision? You never stay that late....![]() ETA: Night vision kicks ass as long as there is some illumination. If it's really dark your vision will still be impaired. Another thing, night vision affects your depth perception. Objects may seem closer or farther than they actually are. |
Too late. At least 2 WAHTF members have already called about that.

Dont waste your time with Gen 1... I have play'd with all of the cheap ones when the fire station was looking to have something for night water rescue work.. I would not do any less than Gen II military grade, ( PVS-5's or the such) but the Gen 3 is where it is at. You really will get what you pay for. I want to sell mine off, and put that money at a PVS 14 type set up next. |
Ya, and I know the bum you got yours from...... |
Yeah, you guys are the reason the American Horticulture Society has become a paramilitary organization. |
