Now that I have your attention.

Anyone have a sandblasting booth I could use?  I need to strip the paint off of some steel wheels, and a sandblaster would be nice.  It's too much work with just wire wheels.

Case of Hefeweizen or whatever you like to drink if I can use it to get them done.

Also if you have suggestions of places to take them to get stripped, that would be great too.

Or just hijack the thread.

You going for looks or function?

I used one of those paint eaters that attaches to a drill... tool the crappy white stuff off as well as the rust. Hit it with a can of rustoleum and called it good.. but that's the hillbilly fix

Have you tried a chemical paint stripper? That is what I have been using on the camper I got from PCR. Slop a bunch on the paint, wait 30 minutes then pressure wash it off. The hose worked also, but the pressure washer really made a difference.

I have put alot of work into it since I got it. The walls that were falling off, were falling off because of alot of rotten wood. I replaced all the rotten wood with good solid wood, then secured the walls back to the trailer.

Trailer got re-caulked today. Painting to follow sometime in the next week or so. Hopefully before LCR.

Thanks for the tip.  Trying to just use the wire wheel didn't work to great.

Today I used the paste style paint stripper, and I was able to get two of the rims stripped down to bare metal, and have primed them now.

I used a combination of the paint stripper and the wire wheel.  The rims must have been painted 3 or 4 times.  Lots of paint to get off, but when it is done it will be worth it.

If its not too late, and you are somewhat near Seattle. I'm a professional media blaster and painter. I normaly charge like 40$ to blast and epoxy prime a set of steel wheels. Let me know if your interested.

I've got a shitty sand blaster for my air compressor. You are more than welcome to come over to my place and try it, but I think you'd be better off with the stripper.
