So, I normally catch the 2:58 pm bus from Redmond to Seattle. Which puts me down town at about 3:20. Plenty of time to walk 2 blocks to catch the 3:40 bus to Tacoma. The 3:40 bus gets me to Tacoma at around 5:00 - 5:15 If I miss the 2:58 bus in Redmond, I end up catching the 3:15 bus which gets me to seattle at 3:35 which I can catch the 4:05 bus to Tacoma which normally gets me to Tacoma at 5:30 -5:45 Today: Bus from Redmond leaves promptly at 2:58 (I'm on it). Traffic sucks, arrives in Seattle at 3:35. I get off the bus and see the 3:15 bus from Redmond right behind the bus I just got off. ![]() Strange enough, but oh well. I casually walk to my next stop. Knowing I have time. Decide "Hey, I've got 20 minutes to kill", I walk into the bar across the street from my stop and have a drink. Drink gone, I walk to the bus stop. The 4:05 bus to Tacoma is on time, I board it, ready for the long haul. Take a nice nap (makers can help with bus naps). The bus arrives in Tacoma, I wake up, look at my watch and it's 5:05.... Who installed the time warp on I-5 today? |

Traffic was weird up here today too. I set a new record for a whidbey island, deception pass, hwy 20, I-5 circuit. 3 hours 11 mins. to do the whole loop, including 4 deliveries! That's insane! I was keeping with traffic but there was almost none. And NB I-5 in Evt had almost no traffic at 3:15. Course by 3:45 it sucked like normal. |
