Last word was that he was doing well (as could be expected) working hard and getting edjumacated.

Thank you.  I never knew him on a personal level but recall the many times he helped people on the website.  His expertise is missed on the AR board.  I hope he knows people still think of him around here.

I used to be in fairly frequent contact with him.

All the bullshit i've been dealing with over the last few months has put a crimper in that, and his move to the dry side prevents me from visiting because it's too far away.

I figured that with all the crap I have to deal with, the last thing I want to do to a buddy in the hooskow is send him a letter where all I do is bitch about how crappy things are for me....

He dosn't need to hear that crap.

But, after Dropship visited him alittle while ago, my guilt for not writing got the better of me so I wrote Tweak a letter and mailed it finally.

I just hope he dosn't write me a return letter calling me a sissy or somthing...

I just got a letter from him yesterday.

He did receive the pictures I printed off for him, from the last LCR. (I was worried they might not clear the screeners) Thanks to all of you who posed!

Overall, I'd say he's doing just fine considering all of his circumstances. We may not even recognize him when he gets home, as it sounds like he's gone after his health, very sincerely.

The rest I'll save, since I don't know what all might be personal to him, and I'd prefer to err on the side of caution.

However, his halfway mark is approaching, and he's mentioned in the past two letters that he'll be writing out a post for me to recite for you all, to mark the hump. Watch for it soon.

Thanks for asking.

Any chance of telling the story of Tweak to those of us that are relatively new here?

Ok.  Just thought I'd ask.

We consider and respect it as a private matter.

Tweak has family here on the site, and if anyone should decide differently about the above, it really ought to be them.

Tweak's dad, herb_e_vore, has a post in the Troubleshooting forum tacked topic "What happened to Tweak".

Yes, I did visit him last week (Saturday). He is in good spirits, all things considered, and his sense of humor hasn't changed.

He certainly has a different look about him...lean with long wavey hair!  He's been reading a lot and is running 5 mi a day.

He says Airway Heights is shitty compared to Shelton.  The rules change depending on cell block, shift, and individual officer.  Which makes him a little nervous since its hard to predict what behavior will result in a rule violation.

The food sucks.  But they were treated to a sliver of watermelon (thin enough to see through) and a tablespoon of ice cream on the 4th.

I hope to visit him again in August, but that may not happen.  I will certainly visit in November (the next time I know I'll be on the dry side).

If you're going to visit (but haven't been there before) make sure you know what block he's in and call ahead to verify the visiting hours.   And be aware there are some really illogical rules that aren't posted....just as Tweak said.  Its kind of comical actually.  Oh, and the dog will be there to greet you......

I recieved a letter earlier this week, my first. The Tweakster is losing much weight, getting into great shape and is very much gainfully employed in a trade applicable to the "outside" .

From all accounts, he's managing his state visit well, and surviving the system. I'll be visiting him shortly, as soon as th3e paper work chugs thru the system.

He dosn't need to hear that crap.
