Mine. (I thought I'd told you) My Grandfather took me through, about 15 years ago, and presented me with the ring as a gift when I completed the work. I think it's titanium.... but can't recall for sure. (I know it can't be resized, and my weight gain prevents me from wearing it )

The silver coins are my sons. My dad and I bought them for my older son, for his birthday last month.

You went Scottish Rite?  I knew about the Blue House.  I did not know you were a 32° though.  If that's the case then it's my obligated duty to take you to the Shrine.

Yes, most all of my family went Scottish Rite. I have an uncle who went York Rite, but don't know of any others.

Most of them went on to the Shrine also, but I haven't yet. I should... my grandfather would be proud.

Hell I would be proud of ya too.

Let me know if you decide to do it.  I'd love to see you ride Clyde.

ETA:  I see your ring is wings down.  Was your grandfather Southern Jurisdiction?  Where did you go through at?

ETAnswer; I'm not sure where he went through.... but I don't think it was outside of WA...

My moms side of the family is all southern, but that's not the right grandfather.

I went through in Tacoma.

Hmmm....  I did not know Washington was part of the Southern Jurisdiction (wings down).  I thought they were Northern (wings up).  Now I'll have to find out.  Is it possible your grandfather received that ring as a gift from another family member?

So WTF are you two talking about?
Nevermind, you two are part of the Illuminati/Masonic/Nazi conspiracy.

I don't have a clue. I didn't know the difference before you mentioned it. I think it was new when I received it. (it's engraved with my info inside)

It's possible he ordered it new for me, not knowing the difference. But that would be very unlikely.... he was a somewhat of a hobby-historian on the subject, and a very thorough individual.

I'll ask my father if he knows more than I do about it. Interesting.

Cool.  It would be interesting to find out.  Perhaps at the time he went through there was only one jurisdiction in Washington.

Well I don't play basketball anymore and my pimp card expired when I got married.  The fraternity is for life though.
