OK I have been trying to buy all kinds of things on CL, I have probably a dozen emails, calls and voicemails out. No one responds, when they do it is nonsense. I sent email to 2 saying I will buy it... Both respond: "It is still availabe!"  Starting to piss me off. |

I tried to sell there for the first time a month back or so. I got several, "I only have $XXX.xx right now, take my offer, or die with it." or similar.  If half was acceptable, I'd have started closer to that figure. (ebay brought 27% more than my asking price on CL  )Seldom does one see turnip trucks in this region.

) a few guns on craigslist, along with furniture, cars, appliances and and computers on CL. You gotta jump hard and fast on any deal you see, and don't expect a deal to be around by the weekend.

I guess you need to re-word your future emails to something along the lines of:
In other words, make it sound like you're motivated to buy / have money burning a hole in your pocket.

My first and so-far-only use of CL was to get rid of a dog. We had adopted her from my Sister-in-law and she just didn't fit out family (black lab pup, too hyper, esp. compared to our 11 yo Golden Retriever). I have a cooworker who is regularly buying/selling off CL. Hmm...I need a cheap but reliable 4x4 PU as a backup car to my Vette. Maybe I should start haunting CL. Rob |
