Divorce was finalized after 7 years of marriage, alittle over a year of seperation, and nearly 4 years of a knock down, drag out, custody/divorce fight. I pretty much got what I wanted in the parenting plan (well, not everything, I really want custody of my kids, but in this state? HA! Fat fucking chance) and I only got mildly raped on child support because of various short term issues, and in three months I will probably get fucked with a stick covered in 80 grit sandpaper when we have to go back and "review" child support after these temporary issues are resolved. the next three months are not going to be good because they bumped my child support up by nearly half, and I am unable to work any overtime to compensate for it because of my busted up wrist. Welcome to hell I suppose....  But at least i'm not legally attached to that bitch anymore!!...  I'm gonna go have a drink now and stew in self pity because of the financial part. At this rate, my goddamn savage rifle build might be put off. Don't be suprised if you see me drunk posting on here in a few hours. You have been warned. Edited to add: I think i'm going to go get snipped. I don't want any more kids. I love the ones I have, but i'll be damned if I give a woman that kind of power over me ever again. Soon i'll be singing the vasectomy blues....at least until it stops hurting...

Chris, Sorry to hear about the kids, bro. The money issue as well. Be happy it's finally over. Just be the good father that I know you are. Everything else will work out in the end. Your kids love and respect you. That's more than I can say about some couples who are happily married. |
Both my divorces cost me a total of $160.00. If they had cost 30 times that, I would have gladly paid it. There's nothing quite like being free from a miserable period in your life. I'm very greatful that I did not have any children with either of my ex's. I don't think I could stand to look at either of them ever again. I would not want my children to have to deal with that hatred. |
| I feel you. I first was ordered to pay $1400.00 a month for Jackson, then got it reduced to $925.00 after 3 months and now I am at $450.00 for one child. Never mind that my ex, is remarried to a moan with a net worth of 2M+, she does not have to work so I have to pay. |
No better time to sign up for pre-paid legal.  (Of course you might put a conservative value on your time and anguish, and do a little "amortization" first...... nothing 'fuzzy' about that math  )

Why is dovorce so expensive, because it's worth it. I got full custody of my son and the bitch is supposed to pay me support, haven't seen one red cent. Sounds like your lawyer was lacking. I hired one from the recommendation of a freind. He told me this guy will skull fuck his own mother and cum on her brain. 15K later, done deal .. Soon after the bitch moved to AZ and my son is lucky to hear from her once a year. He's still waiting for his xmas present. Help you kids through this, this is a bad time for them also. Good luck. |
