Hello, I am looking to have some barrels threaded and it would be great to find a gunsmith who could do it locally. I live in the Puget Sound area. Any suggestions or experiences? Thanks! |
| If you are the do-it yourself kind of guy, I would suggest renting the threading kit from WJM in the EE. I had to thread 3 AK's and was leary at first and member of the WAHTF walked me through it was a piece of cake. You could also call Blackwell Ind. in Renton and see if they could help you out. Also you can go to the funshow this weekend and see if there is anyone there that could help you out. |

If you don't mind mailing it, ar15barrels.com did a great job on mine. |

I just got back from N.W. Armswerkes having that very service done to my FN FS2000. I have known Brett for better than ten years. He specializes in "One Shot One Kill", or "one hole on paper" rifles. All I can say, "he is the best gun smith / machinist I know of in the Puget Sound" & with friendly service to boot. His shop is off the beaten path and hid away, IM me if you want his phone number. I don't have permition to post it here. Pants223 check your IM |
+1 on Brett. Awesome guy. Lots of knowlege and lots of skill with the bangsticks. I used to know him when I worked at the Bullseye and he was a hell of a guy. I've lost track of him and have been thinking about getting in touch with him again about my savage build. Could you possibly get his phone # to me too? Thanks. |
| The Sightman in Renton does threading. www.thesightman.com/gun.htm I've never had him thread anything, but the other gunsmithing he has done for me is top notch. |
