I got home from work at 1600, lit the fire, tried to install a new wick in the lantern, power went out at 1614.  The weather was fairly mild until 1612. After that, it was um.....worse.  The drive back to town was adventurous. I predict there will be news @ 11. The river is rising quick, and 2-4" of rain are expected overnight. (nothing abnormal about that, but they have announced a flood watch for all LCR rivers) The wind is picking up very quickly. The hotel is making creaking sounds I haven't heard here before. PeEll has already announced a 2 hour delay for school tomorrow, with the possibility of cancelling. All evening events in the LCR communiity for this evening have been cancelled according to the radio. ' Might be a good time to get liquored up.
