| So I arrange for my uncle to pick up a rifle through a FFl dealer who runs the NICS and tells him he's denied. Long story short....he doesnt understand why this would have happened so he goes to the County Sheriff department and they tell him that someone's been using his name ALOT going back to 1991.....five felonies and 4 gross mister meaners.......My uncle states my other uncles name to the lady whos helping him and she confirms.....he runs a back ground through the State Patrols web site and low and behold.....under my uncles name is a list of MANY convictions under my other uncles name along with about six aliases....run my other uncles name and the same exact wrap sheet with my first uncles name as one of the aliases..........HOW CAN THIS BE...so he has to submit finger prints to the State Patrol and turn in a shit load of paperwork to the FBI....further more.....there are addresses that my first uncle has never lived at in counties he's never lived.....he used his birth date and name with a combination of his own and the "never had been arrested" uncles birth date and name......NOW he has to PROVE his innocent's. All the while a very nice Rock River Tactical Entry is sitting at the shop......on hold. |
To them is just one more Nutjob that they think they are preventing from owning a firearm. |
| I was a victium of ID theft in 2001 I was arrested for Failure to appear on a DWI in May of 2001. (got stopped for speeding) It cost me 7881.00 to this day, evan after the Judge decieded that I was not 6'2" tall and did not weigh 230 LBS. And my face did not match the booking photo, I still get crap from the court about my other infractions. The perp was arrested in CA put in jail. When he was ready to be released the court called me and told me if I would pay for a Federal marshal to fly down and pay to fly the asshole back here, they would prosicute him for the CLASS 3 felony of ID theft. The long and short of all of this as my credit score went from 740ish to 680ish and I have to carry a letter in the glove box telling the cops I am not this asshole. I guess all this will end when I die. |
why is he picking up a rifle FOR YOU? dude, if you havent noticed......most of the threads here in WAHTF end up being about something else. sorry to hear about your uncle. you joined in 2002 and have only 350 posts, not to active i guess, unless you have a problem? |
Funny.....dont be an asshat..I know the law..Ive worked for the law for eleven and a half years.....as a supervisor......My uncles picking up a rifle from a friend of mine who is a retired sheriff who also has an ffl....My UNCLE is picking up the rifle for HIS son who is coming back from IRAQ. My point is the systems fucked up when it allows this kind of blatent violations of a persons rights and it goes ignored. My post has absalutly nothing to do with how often IM here....Just ask my wife....some people read a book before they go to bed....Im usually here. Ive always been a man of few words. My only problem might be that Im fairly judgemental...and pretty good at it. |
