I just got back from LCR and can't stop grinning! That was absolutly the most fun I've had in a very long time (ok, I don't get out much). I'd like to thank everyone involved for putting together such a great event. A big thanks goes to the guy who was letting people (me included) shoot his valuable piece of history, a 1921 Thompson. The Barret .50's were fun as was my first time whith a M1 Garand. The tannerite really goes BOOM and as of the time I left he rock had not fallen. I now know what bumping is, but prefer just pulling the trigger really fast. And would you believe it, I got a sunburn in Washington State on Sept. 23. Must be global warming. I've got to apologize to the guys who are staying until Sunday, I totally spaced on grabbing my shot to hell helium canisters (more holes than metal). I'l do penance at the next LCR - I promise! Thanks! |

Not yet. See the video., I started it just a second after they shot it: |

Bobbity and I just got back-- another tannerite device did the trick. Didn't exactly so much dislodge it as it did liquefy it-- it was that same sedimentary stuff as those big chunks sitting around the camping areas. It was a lovely river of gravel for a few minutes-- and a nice bang, too. Someone was shooting what looked like spotter rounds from a Makarov pistol-- what exactly was in those tyhings?? They were very cool! ETA: On further review, perhaps I was incorrect about the rock. I am unable to watch the video, however-- Dojo doesn't like my computer.

I, for one, greatly enjoyed the day. A lot of familiar faces and a shitload of new ones. Very happy to have seen y'all yesterday. Muchas gracias to Tampex er, ah EREX, for the Garandasm. As usual, eleventy billion experienced my 308 pistola. I think maybe next time, I'll camp at least one night. Hated to leave, but if Ductape doesn't get home in time for milk and cookies, he really gets grouchy! Another Grand Huzzah to Ductape for the ammo, as well as the cameraderie. I had a blast, both figuratively and literally. I can't pass up the chance to thank Her Hipness and [pirate voice] Laaaarrrge Maaarrge [pirate voice] for the Hair Chat. Next time we'll go for Pantyhose Palaver! And Phil, next time I'll stop at the adult novelty store at the poke&ride, so you'll have something to play with, since I know you don't like guns. PCR, thanks for the mag. Kooter, thanks for the mag that my POS didn't like. |
| The family and I had a great time, Thanks whomever it was (I'm terrible with names) for holding off the "Real rifles" when the shooting started back up on Saturday for my Daughter to shoot her .22, you made her day. To bad we had to leave and get back home to feed the horses, next time I'll find a baby sitter for them and try to spend the night. I only blew off about half of my pilfered tracers (first time the kids had seen them!) so more fireworks for next time, too. My bonus hits next week, so I'll be seeing alot of you at the next Puyallup Gun Show. |

I had a great time and so did Henry. (I hope he was well behaved while he was running around BTW) The organization and the line itself definately impressed me. Everything was obviously well thought out and executed. Thanks to those that spent time playing safety officer and keeping us in line. A big thanks to Petagunner (sp?) for the trade on the mags. I was kicking myself all day for forgetting those. Hope to see you guys up here again! As usual it was great to see you all and fun oogling all the toys. My 9mm pistol build ran great but wouldn't bump. Back to the drawing board I guess. I got to shoot Bobbity's .308 pistol and now I can say I have! What a beast that thing is. A big thanks also to Dan (I can't remember your board handle) at Mary's pistols for getting the 30.06 millitary ball in. I wouldn't have been able to take the Garand out if you hadn't. Hopefully you got a chance to put a clip or three through it, but I can't remember if it ended up in your hands or not. All in all I'd say that we couldn't have asked for a better LCR. It was gorgeous up there and the sounds of freedom were everywhere. |
You missed out; after you took off I got to BS'n with PetaGunner and he traded me some type 56's for some ammo so I ended up with some mags after all. I will definately be treating these better than the ones I let get rusty. I came home and ordered up a Sten loader and some more mags from IMA and a couple Lula's from Brownels too. The best part of that is that the kids will like the Lula's and I can probably get them to load mags for me now. |

Good times. I'm sorry if I didn't socialize with everyone as much as I should have. I did try to make my rounds but didn't say hello to everyone I had intended.
It is about half way between Portland and Seattle. It is a pretty good location for a lot of us. Petagunner and Yankeefan have a bit further to drive but they didn't seem unhappy with the weekend. |

My first LCR. I guess that puts me in the "shitload" of newbies I also had never seen bumpfiring. It seems PCR-dubble-aught is somthing of a master. I was/am too shy to get my turn on the class III stuff, but the guys shooting the Armalite 50 noticed the drool pool and made me take a shot. It was great and I thank them. I also got a round out of Bobbity's .308 SA pistol. I rather liked it. Also impressive were the various AK pattern "pistols". I think I need one of those. I have always thought that AK and AR pistols were kind of dumb - but now that I've seen "the bump dump" they make a lot more sense I brought three rifles:
I also tried to bump fire a little bit. The G3 wasn't having any of that. Long pull trigger needs to be reviewed. The SGW/Oly was willing to play until it stopped extracting. I refuse to bump the RRA nine though. The fixed bolt guns don't have very good mechanism to prevent out of battery ignition (IMO) and I don't want to go there. One last thing. I feel badly about not being there Sunday to help clean the place up. Would it make sense to have a one hour cease fire each day (maybe about 3pm) and just scour the place. Bring in all the "targets" and start over clean. I can imagine that the Sunday afternoon crew has a Hell of a job as it is. |
Quicktime sucks unwiped ass. ![]() Try it in mpg or avi. |
Bill Springfield for the G3 / HK91 clone trigger work. Well worth it. [email protected] |

It was indeed a GREAT time. Thanks to all who attended and donated for the potty fund. Hopefully we can do that for each shoot from now on out. A HUGE thanks to OdT for making sure the Honey Bucket man was able to find the thing this afternoon. A big thanks to petagunner for hauling up all the Tannerite and for some great conversation. I actually got to fire a kick ass .50 thanks to headpulper. That was truly fun. It was nice to meet quite a few new faces and see lots of old ones. |
Thanks for sharing your chair |
That's just my luck! I have a feeling that Sten loader is going to get a really good workout. |
Glad you two had fun. Thanks for letting me shoot the 1911 and the shotgun. |
Seemed to me that your son had a good instructor and a level head to boot. Hope you can stay longer next time. |
|
Thank you to all, too many names to name. What a great group of folks to hang around with, a truly great shoot! Final mileage tally: 627 miles Worth every damn minute too. Can't say enough about the shoot and the crew there, thank you very much! Oh..... and I still have both of my eyebrows

It was great to have you there. Hope we can do it again soon. |
Good to meet you, maybe next time I can talk Kooter into comming into your neck of the woods |

Yet another awesome LCR weekend! Great to see everyone, big turn-out Saturday. Thanks to all that showed up, good to see some of our neighbors from the south make it out to deliver the goods, and show me the proper way to do tannerite at night! Thank you Dan, FINALLY shot the Barret, hell of a rifle man! The .308 pistol was kick-ass, thanks Bobbity. PCR's .223 pistol was VERY fun to bump! Tannerite is ALWAYS fun! -z |
Mmmmkkay.....my rear is stil intact, maybe you got the wrong guy? Come to think of it, Yanker was sitting a little sideways in the seat on the way homeAs for the |

It was good to meet some of our neighbors down south and some of the new guys. We had a great time. I'd like to thank JSbunchanumbers friend for letting me shoot the Thompson, someone else for a couple of rounds through the Barrett (the GF liked that a lot), Erex for clip though the Garand, and BIG_ELF for a couple of mags through his PS90 (those are mags right?). And thanks to CarbineMonoxide, et all, for running a safe line. No one got hurt, in spite of exploding firearms, and that's exactly what we want. |
I beg to differ. When the guy who was pumping it out to take it away checked to see why his pump self-destructed, I believe his exact words were: "Who the *#$* threw a bolt carrier in my portapotty!!!" |
I am unable to watch the video, however-- Dojo doesn't like my computer.
