Ok. I know I can ask this elsewhere but I prefer to find out what my local shooters think.

Are 2 Stage Match Triggers worth it for an AR-15?  If so what do you look for and what prices would you pay?

Thanks.

My personal opinion is no, they are not.  I didn't really like the couple I shot with, however I am not a precision shooter kinda guy.

I have a RR 2 stage on my Bull-Barreled AR.  It is a vast improvement over the standard model if accuracy is your goal.  As for price?  The RRs can be had for under $100.  I would be glad to let you try it out if you wanted to either drive up here or wait till the next LCR.

Not to hi-jack or anything, but what about single-stage match triggers?

+1

From my perspective, however skewed, they're worth every single penny.

I have one on my M4gery, it's great for accuracy, and also works real well with Bob and Janet.

egpworld.com/hp/trigger/Default.htm

This site gives the quick and dirty on single vs two-stage.

I, personally, find two-stages easier to work with and, in my mind, safer when working with semi-autos.  You can get some doubling if you have a poorly setup or damaged single-stage trigger.

I have a RRA 2 Stage NM Trigger on both of my AR-15's. It is a vast improvement over the stock military trigger and it will help to improve your accuracy. Here is a link to where you can get a decent price.www.triplebreakproducts.com/RRA/two_stage_trigger.htm

I hear you. I've spent more time than that trying to figure out where to get the right flashlight for my AR, (for yard pests who like to steal catfood).... so far all I've learned is to not ask any questions, or fear of being sent directly to a sticky thread with lots of dead links about british thermal units, aircraft grade alloys, and lithium properties.

Anyone who knows anything about flashlights for ARs, can keep most of it to themselves, and uses them more than they talk about them, please IM me.

I have a NcStar Tactical flashlight (mounts on rail) you can have it, I got it with a combo and already had one. Just E-mail the address and I will send it to you. It does take a spendy battery (cr123a) but the price is right. You will have to learn how to adjust it for your rifle but if the Racoon (or Possom) is close it will not matter!

I took a RRA 2 stage to a class at Thunder Ranch.  It worked great, and isn't coming out of my gun.

I've also one in my prairie dog rig.  It'll stay also.

You're too kind. I'll take you up on that... sounds perfect for the yard, and my son will be relieved not having to hold the maglight for me at a moments notice anymore.

Well after much thought and consideration I bought a Bushmaster 2 Stage Match Trigger Group for my Bushy.

It retails for almost $130.00 and I got it for $80.00.

I hope it's worth it.

Linky Thing

Nah.

I'd kick myself in the ass if I paid that much money for a trigger.

I love the Jewell trigger. It's a $150 upgrade on Fulton rifles.

I just got two RRA two stage match triggers. I installed one of them and although I have not fired the weapon it is a nece crisp pull and seems very consistent.
