Believe it or not...Lake Stevens gets pretty nuts at night without all the crowds.  All the locals go to Boom City on the Tulalip res and buy the big stuff.  Then they go home and shoot it into the Lake.  I've had a few parties over the years and people are amazed what goes on over the lake on the 4th of July.

Yes and I also like to go up on a mountain peak and watch the valley, amazing what comes up out of the trees as far as the eye can see from a mountain top.

The top of Haystack mountain you can see from Tacoma to Bellingham

This is my first year living in Lake Stevens.  Where is a good spot in town to go watch?  I don't want to go too far so I can still keep an eye on the place.

Anywhere by the Lake I've heard.  They put on an impressive show.  We went last year to my mom's exes house on Priest Point (on the reservation directly across from the navy base), you could see the Lake Steven show from there.

I thought that's what they said about the Gasworks fireworks show?

If you're looking for something a little more in the south end, the Freedom Fair in Tacoma down on Ruston Way is not a bad way to go. An air show during the day and then a big fireworks display, only drawback is it is kinda crowded.

There's also a show right on Ft. Lewis at Cowan Stadium.

The Purdy spit area is a war zone every year and is relatively close. I usually watch from the top of peacock hill every year.

Go down to cove park.  Any place that gives you a vantage point over the lake.
