Just tell them that the whole world went to hell as soon as they gave women the right to vote and see what happens

lmao....to be honest...I've only had to serve on a jury once....been summoned a number times, I had to do 2 1/2 weeks on a civil lawsuit  against Nepa Pallet company of Snohomish...lol, niether the plaintiffs, nor the defence was happy with that  jury.

Been called for jury duty once. Didn't get to sit on a jury though. I was dismissed once they realized I had common sense. They only picked the old ladies that were there.

Both times I have been summoned for jury duty I was seated on juries. Even though they were not major criminal or world changing trials, I personally found the experiences enlightening and overall rewarding. I came away more informed about our legal system and am glad to have had the opportunity to serve. Of course I have had well paying jobs with benefits that include compensation for jury duty, so I was able to serve without any financial burden. Perhaps my attitde would change were the privilege costing me hundreds of dollars per day. But as it is, I look forward to my next opportunity to serve. Should I ever my myself in the defendants or plaintiffs seat, I would hope that the jury by which I am judged is comprised of more than 12 people who could not figure out how to get out of it.

I've been summoned 4 time, had to show twice (both times in Caly) and seated once. We had a woman on the jury (typical crystal wearing middle age too much money flake) who felt the guy was "not guilty" because she was sure the cop had it in for him. Despite the fact the cop and his partner caught the guy climbing out of the window of a house that was not his with a TV that was not his to put into a car in the driveway with the trunk open that was not his. And it didn't belong to the owner of the house. I thought we were going to have bloodshed after the second 11 to 1 vote.

She came around after the judge called us back in and lectured us on our responsibilities. I think the foreman telling her that if she let the wanker get off he was personally driving the defendant to her house and pointing it out may have also had something to do with it. Then there was the Mexican guy, "Shade of doubt lady, not I feel like he's getting a raw deal. What's so fucking hard to understand about that" He wanted to know if we recommended life if the judge would take it  into consideration. He had some serious issues with this guy "making the rest of look bad".

30 years in King County, voted every year, and not called once for a jury.  Moved to Skagit, and got called within a year of moving.  That King County, they sure do have an accurate system down there.  I sure do miss them...

not yet been given the oppertunity to serve, but doubt I'll ever get selected anyway due to my employer..........Defense attorney would give me the boot.

I have been summoned as a witness a couple of times, but work always talked w/ court and it boiled down to: its all on the 9-1-1 tape, no need to pay me to show up, just push play.

I have been summoned for jury duty once. How about a deaf guy sitting up there asking them to repeat every thing three times

I was dismissed after the Doctor sent a letter.
